Q: The recent fires in the Western states bring up the issue or power line-caused forest fires. Isn’t this more of a vegetation management issue than an engineering challenge? Why can’t the right-of-ways be widened enough and the under-line vegetation controlled so that flashovers and downed lines can’t start a fire?
