Duke Energy: Annual Lineman Appreciation Day

Duke Energy joined other electric utilities to celebrate the first annual Lineman Appreciation Day on April 18, 2013. The U.S. Senate passed a resolution to set aside one day to honor linemen like Duke Energy’s  Blake Sehen, who is shown working on a distribution line from a bucket truck. Duke Energy employs more than 5,000 line workers across its service territories to perform highly skilled work requiring dedication and commitment The utility’s linemen serve more than 7 million customers across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
