Working barehand, a Michels Power crew installs armor rod from a bucket truck in Pennsylvania. Michels is trained and qualified to do barehand work on energized transmission lines up to 500 kV. This method, which requires special trucks, gear and protective equipment, allows the line to remain in service while the work is done. To make the work both safe and efficient, Michels has implemented rigorous training and safety policies and procedures.
