EDMI and Wavecom Launch Advanced Automatic Meter Management in Australia and New Zealand

Wavecom SA has announced its collaboration with EDMI Limited (Singapore Exchange: EDMI) to launch Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) in Australia and New Zealand markets.

As the utility industry continues to look for solutions that reduce both labor and high-maintenance costs of metering, AMI solves this issue by efficiently managing meters remotely and helping with load and energy management.

EDMI Ltd., headquartered in Singapore, has chosen Wavecom’s Wireless CPU to use in its advanced MK10 and MK 7 electronic energy meter to provide a wireless AMM solution for a leading utility in New Zealand. The first phase will involve rolling out 55,000 EDMI's meters with Wavecom-based wireless technology.
