Onset has been listed on the California Energy Commission’s list of Performance Monitoring and Reporting Service (PMRS) providers. As such, the company’s HOBO data loggers and energy monitoring systems have become eligible equipment for monitoring, analyzing and documenting energy production data from solar energy systems under the State of California’s Solar Initiative (CSI) program.

Onset's HOBO data logger and weather station products are used around the world in a broad range of monitoring applications, from verifying the performance of green buildings and renewable energy systems to agricultural and coastal research.

The California Solar Initiative is part of the Go Solar California campaign and builds on 10 years of state solar rebates offered to customers in California's investor-owned utility territories. Its goal is to create 3,000 MW of new solar-produced electricity within California by providing funding incentives to consumers for solar thermal and PVA projects.
