Michael F. Ahern

Director of power systems

Michael F. Ahern is the director of power systems at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining WPI in 2012, he rose to the vice president level over a 30-year career including generation, transmission, distribution and services at Northeast Utilities. Ahern earned a bachelor’s degree from WPI and master’s and MBA degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
