When it comes to journalism, there are many ways to tell a story: from a print article to a video to a photo gallery. About two years ago, T&D World launched the Line Life podcast as a way of bringing audio stories to the field subscribers.
On the third Friday of each month, we drop a new episode that focuses on the line trade. Over the years, we've highlighted such topics as women in line work, veterans in the line trade, storm response and new technologies.
We've also covered the International Lineman's Rodeo Week. Last year, we did mobile interviews, but this year, we set up a podcasting station in T&D World's booth at the Expo. Over the course of two days, Field Editor Amy Fischbach interviewed everyone from apprentices to veteran journeyman to linewives, linekids, linedads and linemoms.
To listen to the October episode, follow the Line Life podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or your favorite podcasting app. You can also check out the future guests for the podcast by viewing the video clip below.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth to participate, and thanks to our sponsor, Huskie Tools, for supplying the pink and green camo hats for our podcast guests.
