March 17, 2021
After a severe winter storm, Portland General Electric's line crews repaired damage and restored power.

In the April Electric Utility Operations section of T&D World magazine, we are starting a series of stories called "Storm Stories." The first part explores the damage and restoration in Portland General Electric's (PGE's) service territory.

In the company's largest mobilization effort, 400 crews responded to the 421,649 PGE outages caused by the February winter storm. Linemen worked alongside tree crews and wire down crews to repair damage and get the lights back on in and around Portland, Oregon.
