2022 Lineman's Rodeo Roundup: Competitors in Action

Oct. 17, 2022
At the 38th International Lineman's Rodeo, 242 journeymen teams and 366 apprentices competed to be the best of the best.

Early on the morning of Oct. 16, 2022, following a moment of silence, a flag-raising ceremony and the American and Canadian national anthems, apprentice and journeymen linemen prepared to compete in the 38th International Lineman's Rodeo. The event, which drew.a record number of competitors from across North America, brought linemen and their families together for a fun-filled day of competition and camaraderie.

Throughout the day, our T&D World team had the pleasure of meeting with competitors, going up in the bucket truck to take photos and meet linemen's families. We also took a lot of photos of the competitors in action on the Rodeo grounds.

This photo gallery is dedicated to the linemen and their loved ones. Congratulations on a wonderful day of competition, and we look forward to seeing all of you next year at the 2023 International Lineman's Rodeo. Until then, here's a look at some of the apprentices and journeymen team working to be the best of the best in the competition.

Also, look for more coverage in our Lineman's Rodeo News issues on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24, and in our December field-focused Electric Utility Operations section of T&D World magazine. We will also be devoting our December Line Life podcast to interviews from the Rodeo grounds. If you have photos you'd like to share with us from the Rodeo, email them to Field Editor Amy Fischbach
