Throughout the entire inspection process, an on-site industry technician monitors the images in real-time and directs certified drone pilots to potential reliability concerns, ensuring the data collected is accurate and timely. The data is then uploaded to PLP’s secure servers at the company’s global headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, where a geographic information specialist maps the results: assigning images to appropriate structures or points-of-interest within the system.
PLP’s in-house, industry-trained inspection engineers then work alongside the company’s knowledgeable subject matter experts to analyze the data. Every primary system component is identified by type and given a ranking so the utility can quickly filter the results, prioritize potential reliability concerns, and set up work orders.
