The IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference prides itself in offering a complete program for Professional Engineers to meet all professional licensing requirements for professional development. This show offers an Ethics in Engineering session that will issue a “Certificate of Completion” for attendees who attend the entire session. This session will cover a variety of “up to the minute” topics that face the engineering professional in today’s cyber world.

Edgar Benoit will be presenting and is a registered professional electrical engineer, member and current secretary of the LAPELS board, NSPE Fellow, and life member of IEEE. Edgar currently practices as an expert witness and training sessions dealing with electrical codes. He recently retired from teaching and over 30 years in the electric utility industry. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from LSU and MBA from Nicholls State University.
The co-presenter will be Linda Hartle Bergeron, PE, F. AIChE, CCPSC. She is a registered professional chemical engineer in Louisiana and serves on the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying (LAPELS) Board representing the practice of Industry. She graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and has a Master of Engineering Management degree from Penn State University. Linda is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and a Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) Certified Process Safety Professional. Linda recently retired after working 35 years in industry, mostly in the chemical industry as a process engineer, and now works part-time for an engineering firm. She and her husband, Everett, reside in Amite, Louisiana and have two grown daughters.
