This panel will bring together researchers developing a variety of network-aware DER coordination approaches that ensure benign or even beneficial distribution network impacts.
A variety of strategies exist for coordinating distributed energy resources (DERs), including distributed generation, storage, and flexible loads to provide services to the bulk power system. However, many of these strategies ignore the impact of DER coordination on the distribution network, for example, DER coordination can lead to over-/under-voltages, transformer overloading, and other negative impacts.
This panel at the 2022 IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference will bring together researchers developing a variety of network-aware DER coordination approaches that ensure benign or even beneficial distribution network impacts.
