Here's a look at the January 2025 episodes for the Line Life Podcast, which celebrates those who work on the line.
The T&D World Line Life Podcast, which first aired in May 2021, is getting close to celebrating its 100th episode. Make sure you tune in at linelife.podbean.com to hear these four episodes, which launched in January:
We launched the Line Life Podcast to empower our field subscribers and readers to listen to lineworker content on the go. We know that those who work in the line trade don't work behind a desk in an office. Instead, they are often on the road in their bucket trucks and working long hours on job sites and storm restorations.
Over the last few years, we have featured different podcast series:
Problem Solvers (about lineworkers who invent tools for the trade)
Faces of the Future (about apprentices in line work. This ties in with a department in the print magazine. To be profiled, fill out this online form and email Amy Fischbach with your photo).
Lineworker Focus (about journeymen lineworkers. To be profiled, fill out this form).
We also feature such topics as women in line work, veterans in the military, technology in the line trade and many more. If you would like to sponsor the LIne LIfe Podcast, please email Steve Lach.
How to Be a Guest on the Line Life Podcast
If you are interested in being a guest on the Line Life Podcast, email Amy Fischbach, podcast host, at [email protected]. Please include some background information about yourself, your social media handles (if applicable) and your photo, which we will use when we promote the episode. Also note that all guests will need to sign a "Talent Release" electronically, which we will email to you.
Amy will then email you a script with a list of questions and a link to a recording session on SquadCast. If possible, please wear over-the-ear headphones plugged into a laptop and join the session in a quiet space.
After the session, Amy will edit and produce the episode, which will be available at www.tdworld.com/podcasts and linelife.podbean.com. Note that interview-style episodes air on the first and third Fridays of each month and narrated stories drop the second and fourth Fridays.
