Testing Platform Evaluates Performance of Battery Energy Storage Systems
Quanta Technology has developed a state-of-the-art testing platform used to evaluate the performance and operational features of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESSs). Using the unique and portable BESSTI tester/analyzer, the company offers on-site testing services to verify control and communication capabilities of any BESS.
The versatile test platform also provides a wide range of control system simulations. The simulation mode can be used to either emulate certain BESS functions and send corresponding set-point commands (through communications or analog/digital signals) to a BESS system (replacing supervisory/site controller for tests) or plot responses and compare expected performance (according to the simulation of functional requirements) versus field operation of the BESS. The simulation functions can be further customized for specific applications.
