This week, I attended the itron utility Week event in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.,

This week, I attended the Itron Utility Week event in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S., (in torrential rain!) and here were some takeaways and interesting products I saw.

Itron is well-known as a metering and AMI company but with the acquisition of Silver Spring Networks and Comverge (for demand response), it is becoming more of an IoT, Smart Cities and Services company.  At the show, Itron showed how the two communications infrastructures for networking are coming together. I also checked out some very T&D-specific products.
