Last year, a team of Ameren Illinois employees and business partners saw the International Lineman's Rodeo as a platform to raise awareness and resources to help the children of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Through the Climbin for Kids fundraiser, they were able to donate 100 percent of the contributions directly to support St. Jude's. In 2022, Climbin' for Kids" raised more than $44,000, and Ameren Illinois presented the donation to St. Jude at the Lineman's Rodeo in Kansas City.
This year at the International Lineman’s Rodeo Week, the team from Ameren Illinois will display donated items from electric utility industry vendors on a table in the hallway outside the exhibit hall during the International Lineman's Expo.
Consider donating an item or a gift card for the raffle. All vendors making donations will be recognized at the table. If possible, donate gift cards for your product line since many participants have to fly out of Kansas City and may have difficulty carrying items onto a plane.
Attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets right from mobile devices by scanning the QR code and stopping by the table. For every $20 donation, they will receive a ticket to be entered into a winner-takes-all raffle for gift cards and other vendor-donated prizes. The winning ticket will be announced on Saturday night at the International Lineman's Rodeo awards banquet.
